Our Mission
The mission of Sister for Sister Housing Network, Inc is to increase the positive outcomes of homeless women who are in recovery from addictions to drugs and alcohol.
Sister for Sister Housing Network, Inc is a nonprofit transitional housing program which serves the Charlotte, NC area. The organization was founded by LaNiece Okwara and Sandra Frazier. Both LaNiece Okwara and Sandra Frazier bring years of human service experience to the program. They both recognized unanswered needs in the Charlotte, NC area and responded with the program which is now known as Sister for Sister Housing Network, Inc.
Sister for Sister Housing Network, Inc is led by Board of Directors who are all committed to assisting the population that we serve.
Our Services
Sister for Sister Housing Network, Inc provides furnished rooms to eligible
women to increase their ability to achieve self-sufficiency. Participants
must be willing to live in a shared living environment and agree to assist
with the general upkeep of the home.
Participants in the program must follow structured plans in order to reach their goals. Through partnerships with community agencies SSHN provides job placement assistance, computer skills classes, assistance in obtaining a GED, college preparation classes, assistance with banking, assistance in obtaining id/drivers license, and professional development classes.
